What to Expect

Welcome

Thanks for checking out our website. We’re glad you’ve found Hope Community Church. We would love to see you at one of our Sunday services, but we understand that stepping into a church building can be daunting at times.

We’ve included a list of commonly asked questions below so you know can know exactly what to expect when you come. We believe in treating people the way Jesus did – we don’t want you to be worried about what to wear or whether or not there will be an offering, or even how “good” you are. We’re people too! We know that if you’re looking for answers that life isn’t providing, they can be found in the person of Jesus.

The invitation to join us is wide open and we can’t wait to meet you! Will you come?

What is the service like?

Our service is made up of three main parts. Singing, teaching, and eating together.

  • Singing:
We see in the Bible that one of the ways people respond to God is by singing. We have amazing musicians that create an environment to make this a great experience.
  • Teaching: This is one of the main reasons we’re here. At Hope Community Church we recognize the Bible as our authority. Each week we’ll continue to work through a book of the Bible. The teachings usually last about 45 minutes.
  • Eating together: Following the service, we normally eat together. We have found this to be a great time to connect and develop deeper relationships.

What should I wear?

We want you to come as you are and to come how you feel comfortable. Most of our congregation tends to dress pretty casual. You won’t see too many suits on Sunday morning, but you’ll be welcomed in shorts or a suit just the same.

Is child care provided?

Yes! A full-service nursery is available for children ages 0-2, and children’s services are available for children in grades preschool through 5th. All children can be checked in downstairs before the sermon starts and picked up by a parent or guardian immediately after the sermon.

Where should I park?

Parking is limited in our lot, however there is plenty of on-street parking within walking distance. We just ask that you respect our neighbors and stay clear of their driveways.

Will there be an offering collected?

Yes, but don’t feel obligated to give. There is an offering basket near the entryway for those who call Hope Community Church their home.
